Situated just south of Shrewsbury on the A49 in Dorrington is The Horseshoes pub and restaurant. Refurbished over 6 months in 2010 we are now firmly established within our local area and have a fantastic team on board to satisfy customers every need. 

With our regular locals at the bar and the weekly dominoes players competing for the cup, we are keeping the “home away from home” atmosphere where there is always a friendly face and a warm welcome.

The Horseshoes refurbishment has created a large bar area with comfortable leather sofas to relax on, read the morning paper whilst enjoying a full English breakfast or for the workaholics and facebook fanatics there is free broadband and strong coffee. An area of tables and chairs to play board games, a dartboard for the more adventurous and a plasma screen to keep you up to date with the sports and news. Bar stools are dotted about to rest your weary feet after a long walk (dogs are always welcome in our bar area) and enjoy a relaxing drink. Outside seating in the landscaped garden makes a lovely setting on a warm summer’s day and heaters are there for brisk chilly evenings. Your every requirement will be met by our lovely Assistant Manager, Ellie who will offer advice on our wines or happily pull you a pint of local ale.

The extended dining area offers ambiance and comfort to allow you to savour the high quality, locally sourced food, created with a little flare unique to our Head Chef, Steve. Fine wines from around the globe are selected to complement each dish and are changed on a regular basis to tantalise your taste buds. If you wish to have a more private function, we have a separate dining area for 14 quests which our General Manager, Stuart, will be happy to arrange.

If all the above seems too good to be true, feel free to book into one of our five en-suite double rooms and enjoy the whole experience again after a hearty breakfast and a cup of freshly ground coffee.

Our bar is open all day every day from 11am through to 11pm, whilst we serve food from 12pm daily through until 9pm Monday to Saturday and 8pm on Sunday in both our restaurant and bar area. These times may vary when we have events and theme nights occuring.
